"Wrapping Up 2023 from a New Wing"
Dear all,
Greetings from PACOM! It is almost the end of the year--and what a year it was, in various ways. Some things great, some things not so much, but then again, isn't that true for all years? Some things have changed for the better--COVID is now increasingly in the rearview (thankfully), a lot of international comings and goings, some new developments at PACOM (explained later). Of course, there were some changes which were not as fun--a new war in the world, birth rates plummeting, recession, Twitch leaving Korea, etc.
Still, we navigated through the ups and downs and are still standing after another year, which is definitely something that should not be taken for granted. Take a deep breath, reflect for a few seconds on what all of you reading have accomplished in 2023, and have a moment for yourself. You've all earned it.
Onto the final newsletter of 2023!
A New Wing at PACOM
This was a development that was ongoing at the time of the previous newsletter, but PACOM now has a new, additional location!
Named the "DiPacom" building, the new location houses PACOM's digital printing presses as well as several other production lines, and will be shortly offering an open space where people can utilize on-demand services as well as lounge around (I'm writing this newsletter in said space, as a matter of fact). It took a while for renovations to happen in what was formerly a pretty run-down building, but I think we did a good job of converting the space into something that is aesthetically pleasing as well as being a workspace. See for yourself!
We'll be working on utilizing the location for various purposes as we continue to diversify, so (pun intended) keep watching this space!
New additions
We will be installing a new smyth-sewing machine into the facility, which will definitely help with streamlining the production of many of our in-demand products. Upgrades never stop, not even on the last weekend of the year.
Backlog
People I've met, especially this year, have mentioned that they enjoyed reading this newsletter in its entirety. Well, there is some good news in that regard. Some of you might have already seen it, but you can see previous editions of PACOM Update here! It does only track back to 2022, but we're working on putting older content on there as well.
Now my off-color and half-witted jokes are on the Internet for all to see, what a terrifying thought.
Wrapping up the year
2023 was a turbulent year, in many ways. For the world in general, of course, but also for myself personally. Turbulence does bring new knowledge and growth (or so I've been told), so I just hope that going through a more trying year turns out to be worth it in the long run. With that said, I hope all of you reading this have had a year with more ups than downs, and here's to hoping that 2024--the Year of the Dragon--brings joy, health and growth to all of us.
So long, 2023, and Happy New Year! See you in 2024!
