Pacom’s goal is to ensure that your printing project is delivered on the best schedule possible. By being based in South Korea, we have a strategic advantage on providing the shortest ocean freight lines from Asia. China can take between 7 to 14 days longer based on the shipping routes.
Paper Ordering
Depending on the types of paper required and quantity, paper sourcing turn around times vary. Pacom works with the largest paper mills in Korea. These paper mills provide the best in class, internationally accepted paper stocks. Pacom can also purchase paper outside of Korea, however this may result in extra turn around time requirements. Please check with us on special paper availability questions.
Proofing
At Pacom, we offer three types of proofing:
- Soft Proof PDFs – Emailed or loaded to an FTP site for you to review and approve. Turn around is around 48 business hours from receiving final artwork.
- Hard Digital Proofs – Our digital presses, using press quality profiles are printed on coated or uncoated paper and mailed to you. Although the proofs can be very close to representing the final output, because the process is different on printing and paper, variations may cause the proof to not match exactly (especially in terms of color). Additional charges may be required. Turn around is approximately one business week from receiving final artwork.
- Press Proofs – Using our presses, we generate a printed image prior to the actual press run. Actual plates, inks and paper is used, therefore replicating the actual printing process. This is the most expensive method for proofing and additional charges may be required.
